Jose Mourinho sends message to former Chelsea captain John Terry after PL Hall of Fame induction

Chelsea legend John Terry saw himself bestowed with the honour of Premier League Hall of Fame induction this year. Three years too late, but the right thing to do.

In a heartfelt gesture, former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho sent Terry a touching message to commemorate his induction into the Hall of Fame. The Portuguese tactician, who shared a close bond with Terry during their time together at Stamford Bridge, expressed his pride and admiration for the former Chelsea captain. Watch the video on Twitter and here.

Get in, JT!

It was in fact, Jose who named Terry as the captain of Chelsea for the first time, back in 2003. As can be seen in the video, the message culminated with Mourinho blowing a kiss to JT, a display of the warmth and respect that exists between the two. Terry, clearly touched by Mourinho’s words, struggled to contain his emotions.

The mutual respect and admiration between Terry and Mourinho have always been evident, with the Portuguese manager playing a pivotal role in shaping Terry’s illustrious career. Terry has acknowledged Mourinho’s influence and is only right he did so.

The bond between player and manager transcends the football pitch, highlighting the profound impact that Mourinho had on Terry’s career both professionally and personally. Terry’s sentiment of Chelsea meaning everything to him further highlights the special relationship he shares with the club and its fans, cementing his status as a Chelsea legend; oh now, officially, a Premier League Hall of Famer.
