Chelsea record signing could be set for starting role against Tottenham

Chelsea superstar Enzo Fernandez set to face off against Tottenham Hotspur

Graham Potter will be seeking his third victory for the team after just two victories in the previous 14 games and the Blues have revealed some team information ahead of a meeting against Tottenham Hotspur.

Enzo Fernandez might also get a start, according to the official club media, which hinted at his prospective appearance on social media. According to Football.london, a photo of the midfielder was uploaded with the caption: “Ready to go for #TotChe!”

Notwithstanding the outcomes, there have been some encouraging performances in recent weeks, with the exception of the widely shuffled lineup against Southampton.

Enzo Fernandez’s performances, after setting a British transfer record by moving to Stamford Bridge on the final day of the January transfer window, have been one of the highlights.

Young player of the FIFA World Cup 2022 Enzo Fernandez.

Since joining the team, the World Cup winner has contributed to bolstering the midfield, which was a particular area of concern. When N’Golo Kante was injured, the defence lost some solidity and was frequently over-ran by the opposition.

The Argentine’s ability to monitor across the back four restores that security and his capacity to catch a pass from the defence and advance the ball has also been helpful.

Receiving the ball under pressure and keeping possession of it will be crucial, as will stopping counterattacks before they begin, given how narrowly Tottenham will probably push the defensive line given that their front three all play in the middle of the field.

Has Fernandez helped make an influence at Chelsea?

Football’s London Derby is one of the most entertaining derbies, and both clubs will be vying for three points. The Blues will need to work as a unit as the Spurs are now experiencing some issues of their own, and we can take advantage of those weaknesses during the game.

That is not a one-man show, though, and Chelsea as a team will need to give their best. They should play with honour and focus entirely on winning this game, instead of relying on only one player to help them win the game.
