Twitter reacts as Chelsea sign Malang Sarr

According to the club’s official site, Chelsea have completed the signing of Malang Sarr on a free transfer.

The 21-year-old left Nice this summer following the expiration of his contract. He has now signed a five-year deal with Chelsea.

Sarr will spend the 2020/21 season out on loan in an attempt to gain game time and add to his experience.

A left-footed player, Sarr is primarily a centre-back but is equally capable of playing on the left of a back-three and at left-back. His versatility will be an added bonus.

The youngster came through the youth academy at Nice and eventually made his debut in 2017 at the age of just 17. He scored the winner that day to became the second-youngest player to score on his Ligue 1 debut. (h/t Daily Mail)

Sarr has represented France from the Under-16 to Under-21 levels and captained their Under-18s. He also played at the 2019 Under-21 Euros.
