Chelsea fans demand Sergio Reguilon signing after Europa League heroics

Chelsea are keen to bring in a new left-back in the summer transfer window.

Neither Marcos Alonso nor Emerson Palmieri has been convincing this season. While Leicester City star Ben Chilwell is the club’s top target, the Blues have also been looking at alternatives.

One of them is Real Madrid star Sergio Reguilon. Currently, on loan at Sevilla, the Spaniard has enjoyed a successful season at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium. His performances saw him get named as the Spanish top-flight’s best left-back.

The 23-year-old was at it once again against Manchester United in the Europa League semifinals. With his side 1-0 down, he provided a pinpoint low drive across the field for Suso to draw Sevilla level.

Reguilon also showed off his defensive prowess as he kept both Mason Greenwood and Aaron Wan-Bissaka quiet. His off-the-ball movement was also a pleasure to watch as the Spaniard showcased his development at Sevilla.

Although the same age as Chilwell, Reguilon will cost lesser than his English counterpart. In fact, he also has more experience of playing in Europe compared to Chilwell.
