Christian Pulisic promises to return to action soon
The FA Cup final was an opportunity for some of Chelsea’s young guns to write their names into the history books.
They got off to a great start as summer recruit Christian Pulisic put the Blues up in the fifth minute. That was however as good as it got on a disappointing evening at Wembley.
One positive Chelsea can take is the impact the 21-year-old American international has had at Stamford Bridge. He showed he can step up when needed as he once again scored in a big game.
Unfortunately, an injury forced him off and Chelsea looked toothless in the attack without him. With the new season just a little over a month away, there were fears that Pulisic’s injury would keep him out for a while.
To the relief of everyone associated with the club, Pulisic has taken to Instagram to reveal he will be back soon. This will come as good news to Chelsea, who have seen Pulisic blossom into the club’s most dangerous attacker.
With 11 goals and 10 assists in 34 appearances, it is fair to say that the American international has made a positive impact in England.
Losing Eden Hazard to Real Madrid was a major blow to the Blues last summer. The Belgian ace is one of the world’s best players and a bonafide match-winner.
Replacing him was always going to be a challenge. Thankfully, Pulisic has shown he has what it takes to take our former number 10’s mantle.
With Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner joining, the Blues have a much better attack going into next season. Adding Kai Havertz to the mix will only make it more formidable.

Pulisic was not the only player the Blues lost to injury at Wembley. Spanish duo Cesar Azpiliciueta and Pedro also injured themselves and are expected to sit out the clash against Bayern Munich.
The latter is set to move to Roma this summer and has in all likelihood played his last game for Chelsea.
