Chelsea are desperate to bring Michael Olise to Stamford Bridge
According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea will continue their pursuit of Michael Olise in the summer and have earmarked it as one of their priority signings amid competition from Manchester United. The French international completed the season with 10 goals in 19 Premier League games last season.
His signing appears to be affordable, as Crystal Palace aren’t demanding much and could let the forward leave if both interested parties meet his £60 million price tag.
Olise was sidelined for much of the campaign last term but made up for it with his emphatic performance at the end of the season. Chelsea came close to securing the 22-year-old last summer before Olise decided to extend his deal with Crystal Palace.
However, this time the club could face the task of signing the forward, as the youngster is said to be happy at Selhurst and excited about their potential under new boss Oliver Glasner. But he also seems to be open to a move to a club with bigger ambitions.
Chelsea and Manchester United are currently in the race, but the Blues feel they are the right club for the forward, who recently appointed a new head coach, Enzo Maresca, and will be hoping to finish in the top four last season.
Olise is the complete attacker who has the most noticeable elements and will further improve the Blues’ game, so it makes sense that Chelsea are eager to get him. He is a tremendous player with remarkable capabilities and likes to score goals from tight angles and outmuscle opponents in confined situations.
Olise likes to operate from the right wing, which means we will have to shift Cole Palmer to the middle of the area, where he could operate as an attacking midfielder. Olise and Palmer in the same lineup will be a devastating duo who possess top technical quality and will cause havoc to the opposition’s defence.

He is also available for £60 million, so his signing is not so challenging. However, the main problem with Olise is that he is injury-prone, as last season he made only 19 top appearances, so the Blues will have to evaluate his signing carefully before going for making a move.
