Chelsea receive a welcome boost in pursuit of Benjamin Sesko
Benjamin Sesko, the talented 20-year-old Slovenian striker with RB Leipzig, is attracting interest from top English clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Newcastle United.
Before his move to Leipzig in the summer, the player had been a stalwart for RB Salzburg up front with several clubs eyeing a move for him back then. However, as things turned out, he eventually moved to Salzburg’s sister club in the Bundesliga and has been playing second fiddle to Lois Openda, the first-choice striker under Marco Rose.
Sesko has only started three of the 13 league games he’s featured in this season. He has scored three league goals this term, including a brace against Union Berlin early in the campaign. Across all competitions, he has seven goals to his name.

The Blues, however, are not in a real need when it comes to reinforcements upfront given they have quite some options to choose from. The likes of Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku and Armando Broja are the strike options at the ready.

Sesko’s aspirations mirror those of Erling Haaland, who rose to prominence at Salzburg before making impactful moves to Borussia Dortmund and later Manchester City, where he left an indelible mark on the Premier League and continues to do so. As Sesko looks to carve his path to success, the echoes of Haaland’s trajectory serve as inspiration.
And if there is a chance that Sesko slightly lives up to his inspiration and mirrors his trajectory, it is a gamble worth all the money for Mauricio Pochettino to play. However, considering the size of our squad, the Blues surely do not need any more reinforcements in any department.

What they need is a bit of determination and trust from the fans. The manager is working very well with the players and there does not seem to be any problems when it comes to that front. It is surely all about time with the Blues, and hopefully, Chelsea start firing on all cylinders sooner rather than later.
