Chris Sutton “firmly on the fence” with his Chelsea vs Wolves match prediction

Chelsea vs Wolves

Chris Sutton feels Chelsea and Wolves game will be a draw

Chris Sutton feels the Chelsea and Wolves game will end in a stalemate, as he feels the Blues are still way behind after turning up against a decent side this season.

The Blues have been sensations against the top four sides this campaign, but when it comes to the teams who are below 10th place, Chelsea have struggled to eke out wins.

They have fared brilliantly against the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur, which is a testament to their transformation under Mauricio Pochettino.

They have one of the best attacks in the league, but the inexperience of the young squad is sometimes quite evident when they miss big chances, which could be why Sutton is not favouring the Blues against the Wolves.

He has remained neutral with his prediction for the Chelsea vs. Wolves game and told the BBC:

“Wolves lacked intensity against West Ham last week, which makes me think they will bounce back here, but it really does depend on which Chelsea team turns up. And I’m sorry, but I still have absolutely no idea what to expect from Mauricio Pochettino’s side, so I am going to sit firmly on the fence with this one.”

Sutton’s prediction: 1-1

Sutton’s forecast makes sense because Chelsea haven’t played particularly well this season, so we can’t expect them to win against teams that are firmly rooted at the bottom of the league. We have had trouble putting up a strong show when playing lower teams, but as the game goes on, we get better, making it hard to forecast how we will do because it varies so much.

Because of this, it becomes difficult to predict our games, given how poorly we do in them. We were awful and found it difficult to take advantage of opportunities during the whole first half of our match against Sheffield United. However, we fared better in the second half and won 2-0. The Wolves, meanwhile, have only won once in their previous five games, so we should take advantage of their poor performance.
