Ares Management are set to invest £400 million into Chelsea

According to Daily Mail, Chelsea are set to receive a £400 million boost from US firm Ares Management as they seek to build a new project at the club.

Ares, who also held talks with Manchester United, will inject £400 million into Chelsea as Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital are set to redevelop the stadium and a multi-club model. Hopefully, this will be another step in the right direction as we seek success on and off the field.

The American businessman bought the club 16 months ago for £2.5 billion, with an additional £1.75 billion committed to invest in the club on and off the pitch.

Todd Boehly is keen to take Chelsea back to the top.

Under the new owners, the Blues have done knee-jerk signings, which has seen Boehly spend £1bn on transfers since then and also the £65m purchase of French club Strasbourg for the multi-club model. The West Londoners are looking to purchase another club with Portugal in their sights, with 19-time champion Sporting Lisbon being considered.

The US firm has accumulated £3 billion to invest in sports, media, and entertainment firms, with the majority of that funding earmarked by the Blues. This will boost Chelsea’s financial situation after heavy spending under Boehly, who looks to set new principles at the club with the signing of young players. With just one victory in their first five Premier League games, the Blues have performed poorly on the field this season.

This will give Chelsea an invaluable boost as they attempt to increase club revenue. Boehly desires to increase the stadium’s capacity, and the investment of that cash will facilitate that goal in the long run. Chelsea will receive the funds in a variety of ways as a result of our deficit since we failed to make the Champions League and didn’t take home a major prize last season. In order to sign top targets, we had to sell a significant portion of our player roster this season.

Since taking over as owner of Chelsea, Boehly has done excellent business to inject cash at the club. With a football empire potentially in the works, Chelsea could become the centre of a juggernaut that can dominate the sport for years to come.
