“Deserved to win”- Pochettino is sympathetic to Chelsea fans’ reaction at full-time vs Bournemouth

Injury update after the win against Crystal Palace as Chelsea gear up for their final game of 2023.

Pochettino understands why Chelsea players were jeered by their fans at full-time against Bournemouth

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino feels the team deserved to win after the fans showed their disappointment at full-time as they whistled at players off the field in the 0-0 draw against Bournemouth.

The Blues once again looked a shadow of themselves and were clueless during the attacks which blighted their chances of securing a second win of the Premier League season. This draw will further put pressure on Pochettino but we cannot blame him because the club’s half of the squad is young and they haven’t settled properly yet.

This has called into question Chelsea’s quality in front of goal, and Todd Boehly will undoubtedly be in the spotlight after spending £1 billion on revamping the squad since taking over ownership of the club.

Fans also showed their frustration after the final whistle as fans were hoping for a win, but the Blues have only one win in five Premier League games now. Meanwhile, Pochettino feels he doesn’t worry about fans whistles in the post-match press conference, as he told Sky Sports, quoted by Fabrizio Romano:

“The fans are disappointed because of the situation, but I am not worried about that. I say that because we really know what we aree doing—w deserve to win.”

Although there has been a significant improvement in performance recently, it is clear that the supporters will express their anger because we have hardly won games. We simply cannot continue to play in this manner and lose or draw games so easily. Obviously, we ought to win because we played better throughout the entire game; yet, our ineptness in front of the goal keeps us from being a top-tier club.

We continue to be bookish in front of the goal and are unsure of what to do when opportunities present themselves. New signings will need time, and we can’t blame them if this pattern continues. Pochettino wants to fix Chelsea’s goal-scoring issue, so perhaps the hierarchy should listen to his suggestions for upcoming additions.
