Juventus have encouraged Chelsea to sign Dusan Vlahovic and in swap deal including Romelu Lukaku
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, via Italian outlet TuttoJuve, Juventus have urged Chelsea to sign Dusan Vlahovic and pay €50 million in a Romelu Lukaku swap deal.
Both parties are working to find a way to complete the transfer that will please both parties. The Blues are negotiating with the Old Lady to bring down the sum, which makes sense from our point of view.
The Blues have earlier claimed they are not looking to sign the former Fiorentina striker, but given they want to offload Lukaku, exceptions could be made.
The 30-year-old was also left out of Chelsea’s pre-season games, and Mauricio Pochettino has revealed Chelsea are looking to sell the former Everton and Manchester United striker.
The Belgian striker was signed for £97.5 million and endured a decent spell at Chelsea before he demanded he return to Inter in a controversial interview. Chelsea are hoping to offload the striker before the start of the new season, as Pochettino feels the west Londoners still possess a bloated squad.
Given that we have Armando Broja and Nicolas Jackosn to play as centre-forwards and that the Senegalese has proven he has the tools to lead Chelsea’s forward line during preseason games, it doesn’t seem wise to spend €50 million just to offload Lukaku and sign Vlahovic.
Moreover, we have Christopher Nkunku in our team as well — a proven goal-scorer at RB Leipzig who can play as a forward. With Mykhaylo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling and Noni Madueke competing for a spot out on the flanks, the No. 9 position is the only one which remains uncertain for us. There is no reason why Jackson shouldn’t be given a chance right now alongside Nkunku.

The fact that Vlahovic (23) is a young and talented striker supports Chelsea’s desire to sign young players. However, he had a history of injuries last year, so signing him could be risky. if the Blues are seriously considering signing him, then we have to first think about Broja and if a potential loan deal works for him.
