Brighton remain interested in Chelsea target Mohammed Kudus but a move is dependent on the future of Moises Caicedo
As per a tweet from Brighton Bubble, via Fabrizio Romano, Brighton and Hove Albion are interested in signing Chelsea target Mohammed Kudus with any deal dependent on the future of Moises Caicedo.
It is revealed that the Seagulls can only sign Kudus if they sell Caicedo. Chelsea have the latter as their top midfield target for this summer window.
But, Brighton have recently rejected a bid worth £80m from the Blues for the Ecuador international. The Independent reported that the West London-based club are leading Arsenal in the race for Kudus. Yes, a lot of interlinked information to digest here!
It would be interesting to see what happens with these links in the coming days. It seems unlikely that Chelsea would sign both Kudus and Caicedo in this window.
With the Caicedo deal now looking difficult due to Brighton’s stubbornness on the price, it might be a better bet to push on with the Kudus transfer and secure his signature soon.
By doing the latter, it might force the Seagulls to think about getting the Kudus. We know that it is only possible if they sell Caicedo. All this can lead to the south coast club dropping their asking price for the Ecuadorian to an extent.
We are just cooking a transfer theory here and nothing else. A lot can happen in the coming days as the clubs look to shape up their squads with the new season less than three weeks away.
Our chase of the Ecuador international has gone on long enough. We have to start thinking of creative ways to get our man or just give up on him completely to focus on someone else.

When push comes to shove, people start to make desperate decisions. At the moment, if Chelsea want to sign Caicedo, they can use the Kudus card to good effect. Is there a risk of this not working and the Blues not signing either of the two? Absolutely.
