Chelsea interested in Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani
Chelsea are interested in making a move for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani, as per French outlet RMC Sport.
It is claimed that Bayern Munich view him as a plan B in case their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane falls apart. Daniel Levy is a tough negotiator, so he won’t make it easy.
The report adds that Chelsea are still interested in the 24-year-old striker; as are Manchester United. They claim that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have shifted their focus from Kolo Muani to Dusan Vlahovic and Kane.
So, what to make of it? Chelsea should go ahead with a move for the French striker if they need another No. 9 to bolster their attack. Frankfurt won’t sell him for cheap, for sure. They signed him for free just last summer and he is already their main man up front.
Our situation up front, meanwhile, is both simple and complicated. It is simple because Romelu Lukaku and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are both linked with exits while Nicolas Jackson has been added to the No. 9 position after Kai Havertz’s move to Arsenal.
What should Chelsea do?
And it will become complicated if we fail to push out even one of Auba or Lukaku, and if Mauricio Pochettino isn’t clear on where he wants to use Kolo Muani’s international teammate Christopher Nkunku.
He is extremely versatile and can play anywhere in attack and midfield, and even as a wing-back. If we do want a striker, Kolo Muani wouldn’t be a bad option.
He has already amassed enough experience in Europe’s top five leagues and is a full international for Didier Deschamps’ side. He had a massive, massive season with Die Adler, where he amassed 23 goals and 17 assists in 46 games across competitions.
No wonder the likes of Manchester United and Bayern are also keen on him. Let us hope the Bavarian giants get Kane. It won’t only weaken Tottenham, but could also clear our path to sign the former Nantes striker.

It would be sweeter if Juventus’ Vlahovic moves to PSG to potentially get them off Kolo Muani’s tail. But it remains to be seen if Man United firm up their interest in Kolo Muani, given their need for a quality No. 9.
