Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic to AC Milan is a done deal now

As per the latest tweet from Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic moving to AC Milan is now a done deal as the Blues accept the conditions of the final bid.

A couple of days ago, it was revealed that Milan made a €22m bid in their attempt to sign the USA international. Personal terms weren’t a problem as the player wanted to go to San Siro.

Romano also reported that a good relationship between Chelsea and Milan was key in this deal taking place. Pulisic will become the second Blues player to join the Serie A giants after Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

It is the end of a four-year stay at Stamford Bridge for the 24-year-old who struggled for consistency and regular game time here. Chelsea have signed the likes of Mykhaylo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling and Christopher Nkunku in the past 12 months to cover for the positions he likes to operate in.

If we analyse Pulisic’s performance in the Premier League, it felt as if he wasn’t up to the pace of the league at times. The former Borussia Dortmund winger is a technically solid player who has the game to hurt opposition defences with trickery on the ball and good decision-making in the final third.

What Chelsea are getting from this deal is some cash to boost up their transfer kitty and another fringe player out of the squad to slice it down to a manageable level. He is 24 and can still unfurl his potential elsewhere but fans wouldn’t mind the USMNT star leaving west London given his lack of influence in recent years.

The Blues should aim to use whatever they can to sign Moises Caicedo to bolster the midfield. That is one area they have left themselves short after the departure of four midfielders this summer so far.

Lastly, we wish Pulisic the best for what is to come in his career in Milan. It was becoming clear that his future wasn’t at Stamford Bridge after failing to cement a regular starting position in the last four years.
