Chelsea and Manchester United will have to pay £86m to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund
As per the Daily Mail, Atalanta would demand something in the region of £86m to sell Chelsea and Manchester United target and Denmark striker Rasmus Hojlund.
The report reveals that United are likely to ramp up their interest in the player, while Chelsea hold a considerable interest as well.
Although the price tag Atalanta would potentially demand for Hojlund is much more than their record sale in the transfer market (Cristian Romero to Tottenham Hotspur for £42.5m), they think the fee is reflective of the current situation keeping the lack of top strikers in mind.
The 20-year-old had a great season with the Serie A since joining them from Sturm Graz last summer. He scored 10 goals and assisted four in 34 appearances in all competitions.
The Danish international is a powerful striker who can bully defenders through physical strength or rapid pace. He is great at finishing and is a very good dribbler in tight spaces.
Although only 20 and the whole footballing career ahead of him, Hojlund is good enough to fit in most teams in the world and do very well.
It is not a secret that Chelsea could do with signing a centre-forward in this summer window. They need someone who can potentially score 20+ goals per season consistently. Hojlund has that in him to do well here, especially under a front-footed manager like Mauricio Pochettino.

If United are also adamant about getting him, this might them into a transfer race. For that reason, if Chelsea are convinced that the Dane would be fine for them, they should propose a move to him sooner rather than later. Take the first step and hope it turns out to be a positive one.
