Chelsea star Mykhaylo Mudryk is keen to prove his detractors wrong
Due to his underwhelming performance since joining Chelsea in the January transfer window, Mykhaylo Mudryk has drawn criticism from several quarters as per football.london.
He has yet to make an impression at the club and has played no part in any of Chelsea’s past three victories. More criticism followed his bad performance in Ukraine’s 2-0 loss to England in the Euro 2024 qualifying matches during the international break.
The Blues, who pipped Arsenal to his signature will be heartened to know that Mudryk remains keen to prove his detractors wrong. The sooner he does it, the easier it will be for all parties involved.
The forward, though, has only displayed glimmers of his potential thus far and has not yet established a reliable pattern of performance for the team. Capable of much better, the youngster just needs to find his mojo.
Mudryk has so far only contributed to one goal, assisting Mateo Kovacic in Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Leicester City on March 11. Also, he has been transparent about his pricey signing and the pressure he is under to perform for the team. Speaking to Sky Sports (h/t Football.London), he claimed that he will soon disprove his doubters, as he said:
“I can say yes, it’s a lot of pressure, but it’s not the first time. I like this pressure because one day that guy who said I’m a loser will say I’m a winner. Time will tell.”
It’s wonderful to see that he has confidence in himself and is prepared to establish himself as one of Chelsea’s top players. He will not want to be a one-season wonder and will be keen to show has the ability to make a difference.
To succeed in the game, you must have endurance and fortitude, and Mudryk unquestionably possesses these qualities because of his mindset. Hopefully, we wills ee it sooner rather than later.
