Romelu Lukaku expected to return to Chelsea after Inter Milan loan expires
Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku is anticipated to rejoin the team once his loan at Inter Milan expires. Furthermore, the Blues have shown no sign to keep him, as they search for a long-term club for him (h/t Football.London).
After his hat trick for Belgium, some fans would feel Lukaku can still solve goal-scoring issues at Chelsea when he rejoins the team next season. There have been claims stating that Lukaku can stay with I Nerazzurri beyond the summer as the player himself seems to want to leave Chelsea for good.
But now, it is believed he is set to return to SW6. After Belgium trounced Sweden 3-0, the 29-year-old scored a hat-trick. Lukaku’s record for his country went 71 goals, giving new coach Domenico Tedesco a decisive victory on his debut.
Despite adding a number of reputable attackers, like Timo Werner, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea have had trouble scoring goals this season.
Blues holds the record for the lowest goals scored in the Premier League among the top 11 clubs, scoring 29 goals only so far this season. The number nine position has been filled by Kai Havertz since Graham Potter took over for Thomas Tuchel, the German has only nine goals in 36 games.
Christopher Nkunku, a talented attacker for Chelsea, has already agreed to a pre-contract deal ahead of a summer transfer. The supporters think Chelsea should give Lukaku another opportunity.
Given that he has had consecutive bad seasons of performance, we cannot take a chance on him again. Even a hat trick should not change the reality that we should only pursue young or proven strikers next season.

Giving him another chance would be a waste and may hinder the club’s development for the upcoming season, so it would be much better if we decide to part ways with him and find him a permanent club.
