Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has met with PSG regarding a deal for Neymar
Neymar has always been linked to Chelsea in past but those rumours never got far. However, there appears to be a change in the wind ahead of the 2023 summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old has frequently displayed his talent since joining Paris Saint-Germain and has become one of the biggest stars in world football. He has enjoyed much success in Ligue 1 but it can be argued that he is yet to reach his full potential.
Meanwhile, Todd Boehly held a confidential meeting with Paris Saint-Germain executives to discuss a deal, according to La Parisien (h/t Football.London). Signing him would be nothing short of a statement from the Stamford Bridge outfit.
However, it is known that the former Barcelona player has already decided on his future. The Selecao forward isn’t planning to leave Paris when the window reopens. He is rumoured to want to finish out the remaining years of his contract, which runs through 2025, (Transfermarkt), and win the Champions League with PSG.
It might put an end to any transfer aspirations for Chelsea, but history has shown that transfer sagas can take unexpected turns. And it is thought that the Ligue 1 side is thinking about selling Neymar in the summer transfer window. It could yet offer the Blues a glimmer of hope.
His vision and dribbling prowess can penetrate even the tightest football defences, and Chelsea will gain a significant advantage in the forward line. The Blues lack a reliable striker and Neymar certainly fits the bill.
He also won’t need much time to adjust to the Premier League because of his attributes, which will aid in his assimilation. Adding him to the Blues roster will be shot in the arm for Graham Potter who has seen his attackers struggle to find the net this season.

Nonetheless, Neymar has a history of injuries, and his high salary as one of the best players may also be a contributing factor. But one thing is certain: if he signs with the Blues, he will undoubtedly improve our team with his skills.
