Chelsea send message to Hakim Ziyech after impressive Morocco win
Chelsea have taken to Twitter to send out a message to Morocco star Hakim Ziyech after his nation’s impressive and unexpected win against Spain to book a place in the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
Ziyech has been having a stellar World Cup impressing one and all with his performances and showing Chelsea how well he can play if given a chance. The former Ajax man is setting the tournament alight and it remains to be seen how what the club’s future holds for him.
One of the most talented players going around during their time at Ajax, Ziyech has really struggled since his move to Chelsea. He has not been given a proper chance to prove himself at Stamford Bridge but the World Cup is an example of how good the Moroccan can be.
Ziyech’s time at Morocco has been very interesting. The Chelsea winger would have not gone to the World Cup at all due to a fall out with the previous manager and seemed completely out of the picture but the Moroccan FA decided they wanted Ziyech at all costs and therefore changed their manager.
That decision has paid them dividends like anything now with the African nation finding themselves in the quarterfinals of the World Cup where they will face Portugal. Usually, Morocco might not be given much of a chance but they have shown in this tournament that they can play against the big teams.
Chelsea have sent out a message to their out-of-favour star saying that he is the man for pressure situations but they must start realising that themselves.
“Pressure situations? No problem. Keep doing your thing, Hakim!”
In a way, Morocco are actually showing Chelsea how to use Ziyech and the former Ajax man is looking like the player the Blues thought they were getting when they signed him back then. It remains to be seen if this form gets him another chance at club level.
Even if Ziyech doesn’t really have a chance at Chelsea, his valuation would undoubtedly go up after this World Cup and the Blues would find it easier to shift him out as there will be no shortage of buyers for a player who just led his team past Spain in the World Cup.

Ziyech is a quality player and that fact has been proven yet again in this tournament. Whether Graham Potter takes a cue from this and starts including him more remains to be seen though.
