Transfer News: Paris Saint-Germain open negotiations for Endrick amid interest from Chelsea
Chelsea have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick after his father confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain have opened negotiations with the Brazilian side.
Speaking to Canal do Nicola (h/t Football. London), Endrick’s father, Douglas Ramos gave the confirmation:
“Paris Saint-Germain are the only club that opened negotiations with Palmeiras with an official proposal, as things stand. There are many club from different countries keen on signing him. PSG have already moved.”
Dubbed as the ‘next Neymar’, the 16-year-old has interest from a number of elite clubs from Europe, including the Blues, Real Madrid and PSG. However, it seems the Parisian club have made the first move.
The young striker was promoted to the first team this season, where he played seven games and scored three goals. As for the junior side, the striker has six goals in seven appearances.
Despite having relatively no experience of senior football, the 16-year-old has attracted the interest of top European clubs for his signature. This is a clear sign of his undeniable talent and has made him one of the most wanted attacking prospects.
Chelsea have Armando Broja as the only young striker prospect for the future. While the Albanian has been improving every day, adding another talent like Endrick would seal this department for Graham Potter for years to come.

However, it will not be easy for the Blues to land his signature. With PSG already making a move, it is very likely that other suitors will also follow suit. It will be wise for the Blues to up their interest too, or they could fall very behind in the race for his signature.
