Transfer News: Chelsea willing to pay more than €100 million to sign Jude Bellingham
Chelsea have notified Borussia Dortmund that they are willing to pay more than €100 million to sign Jude Bellingham. This is according to Sport Bild via CFCPys (h/t Football. London).
The 19-year-old England international is arguably one of the hottest prospects in Europe currently. There is anticipation that the top most clubs would go all out to secure the signature of the midfielder, most likely next summer.
It seems Graham Potter and co are willing to beat top clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United for his signature. The Blue’s current record signing is Romelu Lukaku, who was bought in for £97.5 million from Inter Milan last summer.
Bellingham moved to Germany in the summer of 2020. At such a young age, the 19-year-old has established himself to be the core part of his team’s midfield.
The England international has scored four goals in four Champions League games this season, although he is yet to score in the Bundesliga. At 19, he also captained his side in their 4-1 victory over Sevilla earlier this month.
Adding Bellingham to the Blues midfield will make it one of the best in the world. With Conor Gallagher (22) and Carney Chukwuemeka (18) already tipped for great careers, adding the former Birmingham City man would secure the midfield for the west London club for possibly a decade.
With the 19-year-old more than likely to travel to Qatar next month for the World Cup, his performance for Gareth Southgate’s side would only add to his stock. An excellent performance there could make the young midfielder a priority target for many top European clubs.

It remains to be seen if the Blues can land the midfielder. With the club ushering into a new era this season, signing Bellingham could prove to be a statement signing. The midfielder has all that it takes in him to lead the Blues to success for years to come.
