AC Milan legend admits Chelsea “deserved” 3-0 win

Chelsea decide to stick with Graham Potter irrespective of what happens in the next three games.

AC Milan legend Kaka admits Chelsea deserved to beat his former team

Speaking on beIN Sports covering the match (h/t Metro), AC Milan legend Kaka praised Chelsea for their consistency and admitted that the Blues deserved to beat his former team.

In a must-win game for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Graham Potter’s men turned up and scored three past Milan without any response. The Serie A champions, who missed quite a few players through injury, had no answer to stop the Blues’ juggernaut.

While praising Chelsea, Kaka talked about the home team being clinical with their chances, while the away side struggled to create a lot of moments in the final third.

Here’s what the Milan and Brazil legend said (via beIN Sports Twitter):

Currently, both teams are on four points in their Champions League group, with Chelsea second, one place ahead of Milan because of the head-to-head which they won on Wednesday.

However, we are still in matchday three of the group stage. These two are set to face each other at San Siro next Tuesday. If the Italian side manage to get a good result there, Chelsea could go back to square one (out of the knock-out places). Hence, the Blues need to make sure they at least do not lose that game.

Chelsea played a solid game in their win against AC Milan.

The hope is that by then, star midfielder N’Golo Kante will be a match-fit and will make himself available for selection. Even though Potter’s men have played well without him, the team looks better when the Frenchman plays.

More Chelsea News:

Not just the next week’s game, the league encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday is of equal importance too. It is a game where the Blues need to make sure the momentum gained from winning the last two matches isn’t lost ahead of the trip to Italy.
