Chelsea willing to meet Borussia Dortmund’s £120m demand for Jadon Sancho
According to a report by The Metro, Chelsea are ready to meet Borussia Dortmund’s £120m asking price for Jadon Sancho.
The Englishman has been linked with moves to Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City, meaning there could be a full-blown battle to acquire his services, the report suggests.
The 19-year-old has scored 17 goals across competitions for Dortmund this term. However, the ongoing season has been suspended until the end of April to prevent the deadly coronavirus from spreading further.
Sancho, who was a part of City before moving to the Bundesliga, could be set for a return to the Premier League once the summer transfer window commences, as per The Metro.
Chelsea were hit with a transfer ban last summer and that prevented Frank Lampard from signing the players he may have deemed necessary at the time. Despite that, we have fared well in the Premier League, with the manager placing his trust in the young players.
And to maintain a youth-oriented team, signing Sancho would be a huge move. He is at the right age to fit seamlessly into a Chelsea side that boasts of some top-quality youngsters like Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic.
