Chelsea eye a move for Nations League winner Goncalo Guedes
Chelsea are interested in Valencia full-back Goncalo Guedes as the Londoners have submitted a €62m offer, according to the Daily Express.
The Portuguese youngster has been the talk of the town after scoring the winning goal for his national side to lift the Nations League title.
Furthermore, the 22-year-old had an impressive season with the La Liga outfit, bagging 8 goals and 4 assists. He also played a big part in his side lifting the Copa del Rey title.
The Oranges signed Guedes permanently from PSG after impressing them in the loan spell last season. He has earned 17 caps for his national team until now, bagging 5 goals.
Should Chelsea make a move for Guedes?
The Blues would find it difficult to fill the void left by Eden Hazard, who has contributed for the club’s major honours over the course.
Though Guedes has the ability to replicate his success at Stamford Bridge, his price tag seems to be hefty. Moreover, the Blues are yet to get rid of their transfer ban.
Instead, the Londoners can avail the services of Callum Hudson-Odoi, who enjoyed a great breakout season. The 18-year-old showed us what he can really bring to the table with his brilliant Europa League run, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.
