Apart from the poor form, AVB has now got to listen to rumours linking ex-Blues’ boss Guus Hiddink linked with a return to Stamford Bridge in some capacity.
Full-back Ashley Cole who missed the midweek loss to Bayer Leverkusen has passed a fitness test and is expected to start.
After Didier Drogba’s impressive display and goal he is likely to start, with Fernando Torres having to settle for the bench.
Daniel Sturridge is also likely to start again after scoring against Liverpool. Defensive pair John Terry and David Luiz are also set to keep their places despite another shaky display.
Wolves will be without Jamie O’Hara and Stephen Hunt who are both banned, the latter would have probably received a hostile reception as the fans are reminded of Petr Cech’s injury every time he plays.
Head-to-Head

You have to go back to March 1979 to find when Wolves last won at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will want to see a performance like the 27th March 2004, when Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink scored a 13-minute hat-trick.
Betting
Despite Chelsea’s poor form they are still 1/4 to beat Wolves, whilst the visitors are a whopping 14s.
Didier Drogba is 15/4 to score first, whilst the impressive Daniel Sturridge is 4s and Juan Mata is 6s.
For over 3.5 goals you can get an enticing 8/13, whilst for the more cautious can get 15/8 for over 2.5 goals.
