Hazard and Kante to start: Predicted 4-3-3 Chelsea XI to face Cardiff City

published :

Eden Hazard Chelsea

Chelsea return to Premier League action post the international break as they face win-less Cardiff City. The Blues are tied with Liverpool and Watford on 12 points after four games and have looked decent under Maurizio Sarri.

The Italian manager has changed our style of play and we are slowly seeing the team come to grips with it. Last time around, we beat Bournemouth 2-0 but the Cherries had a few chances to get a goal.

Sarri seems to know what his favourite team is and it will be important for us to continue our winning streak to extend our lead at the top.

The Blues don’t have too many injury concerns and with that in mind, here is our predicted line-up for the clash at Stamford Bridge.

Predicted Chelsea XI

Manager: Maurizio Sarri

Formation: 4-3-3

Kepa Arrizabalaga (GK)

The Spaniard kept a clean sheet in our last game but he has looked a little shaky between the sticks. More games for him should help his confidence and we must remember he is still adjusting to a new team.

Marcos Alonso (LB)

Possibly the best-attacking left-back in the league, Alonso has been amongst the goals and assists this season and should keep his spot in the team.

Antonio Rudiger (CB)

The German has been decent at the back and should get better as the games keep coming.

David Luiz (CB)

Luiz has seen a revival in his fortunes under the Italian manager and should start against Cardiff on Saturday.

Cesar Azpilicueta (RB)

The most consistent player we have had across a few seasons, the Spaniard is a star at the back and he seems to be doing pretty well under the new management.

Mateo Kovacic (CM)

Kovacic has shown glimpses of his quality and he could come good for the Blues as the campaign goes on.

Jorginho (CM)

The former Napoli star has been excellent with his passing and is the lynchpin for our midfield.

N’Golo Kante (CM)

Kante is still adjusting to his new position and we haven’t seen him dominate like he did previously. Hopefully, he will get better under Sarri.

Eden Hazard (LW)

Hazard was on the scoresheet last time and the Belgian seems to be back to his best after a brilliant World Cup.

Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata (ST)

Morata struggled against the Cherries but for some reason, Sarri prefers the Spaniard over Olivier Giroud in the attack.

Pedro (RW)

The former Barcelona man scored in our win over Bournemouth and could be one of the players that hurts Cardiff’s defence on Saturday.
