“Legend”- John Terry reveals which current Chelsea star he would have wanted to play alongside

Thomas Tuchel gives latest Chelsea team news ahead of Tottenham Hotspur clash in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

John Terry reveals he would have loved to play alongside Chelsea ace Thiago Silva

According to a comment left on the latest Instagram picture of Thiago Silva (h/t The Express), Chelsea legend John Terry has admitted that he would have loved to play alongside the Brazilian.

Terry, who was in one of the most successful teams at Chelsea, captained the side for the longest time and won several trophies before leaving the club in 2017.

However, he too was impressed with Silva’s performance against Tottenham Hotspur after the 36-year-old went on to score the first goal of the game. The Brazilian also managed a clean sheet on the day, thanks to his rock-solid performance, which, in turn, led to the Blues sitting at the top of the table at the end of the 5th weekend of Premier League football.

Silva later put up a picture on his official Instagram account commemorating a fine performance by the entire team. John Terry left a comment on the picture saying (h/t The Express):

“What a player. I wish I had the pleasure to play alongside you mate. LEGEND.”

The Brazilian arrived at the club on a free transfer last summer and featured consistently under both Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel.

He was a crucial cog in the team that reached the FA Cup final and UEFA Champions League final last season and lifted the first ever UCL trophy of his career, despite spending more than a decade playing at the top level.

However, Silva, who is soon to turn 37, would now have his eye on the Premier League trophy and given the performances put up by Tuchel & co so far, the Stamford Bridge outfit will like their chances of bringing the silverware home this season.
