Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher picks up Crystal Palace Player of the Month award

According to London News Online (h/t football.london), Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher has picked up the Crystal Palace Player of the Month award for August.

The 21-year-old, who made the move from West London to Selhurst Park this summer on a loan deal, is already producing good performances under Patrick Vieira. The Englishman has played in 3 games for the club in August and scored 2 goals in the process.

However, the pick of the bunch for Gallagher would have been performance against West Ham United in the game just before the international break. Although he found the back of the net twice on the day, his second goal was a thing of beauty.

The young Chelsea loanee swiveled away from 3 West Ham defenders in the box to put the ball on his strong foot and smash the ball in the corner. The 21-year-old’s double strike ensured at least a point for the Eagles on the day.

Thus, the youngster was named as the Player of the Month for the club, according to London News Online. Gallagher spoke a few words after picking up the personal accolade. He said (h/t football.london

“I’m buzzing. It’s been a great first few games for Palace. Getting a couple of goals the other week was a great confidence boost for me.”
