Transfer News: Chelsea to bid €50m for Jules Kounde; Sevilla want more

According to transfer news from Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are set to bid €50m for Jules Kounde but Sevilla want more. The talks are at a delicate stage now but they are still progressing through middlemen. Kounde is keen on the move as well and is waiting for Chelsea.

Chelsea have a settled defence and there can hardly be an argument on that. The quartet of Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger have done the job well for Thomas Tuchel. However, as all good teams do, Chelsea are looking to refresh their options.

Kurt Zouma is close to an exit from Chelsea and heading off to West Ham. However, that does not mean Chelsea are not signing replacements. They are actually trying to sign a player that can hold the position for the present and future. Jules Kounde of Sevilla is who they have been after through most of the summer and the saga could finally reach its endpoint.

As transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims, Chelsea are prepared to offer a sum of €50m for Kounde. However, Sevilla have started to play hardball here and they want more from the Blues in order to sell. The situation seems to be tense but talks are still going on indirectly. Chelsea are still working to find a way as Kounde really wants the move.
