Transfer News: AS Roma and Arsenal yet to reach agreement with Chelsea for Tammy Abraham

According to reliable Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, there is still no agreement regarding Tammy Abraham between Chelsea and his suitors, AS Roma and Arsenal.

This comes after Sky Italia (h/t Sky Sports) claimed that a £34million agreement had been reached between Jose Mourinho’s Giallorossi and the Blues for the 23-year-old striker.

Tweeting about Edin Dzeko’s imminent move from Roma to Inter Milan, Romano stated that the Gunners and the Serie A side have asked for Abraham. However, there is no agreement yet.

“Edin Dzeko set to join Inter from AS Roma, confirmed and deal almost completed – final details to be sorted in the next hours. Agreement imminent. @SkySport #Inter Dzeko will sign until June 2023. AS Roma and Arsenal have asked for Abraham – no agreement with Chelsea yet.”

Where will Abraham Link-up?

It looks likely that Chelsea would be open to offloading the academy graduate this summer. He was evidently far removed from Thomas Tuchel’s plans towards the end of last season.

With the Gunners and ex-Chelsea boss Mourinho circling around Abraham, the Blues can be confident that Abraham has suitors that can meet their demands – whatever they may be. They’ve already seen a host of young English talent leave this summer.

Fikayo Tomori is now an AC Milan player while Marc Guehi joined Patrick Vieira’s exciting project at Crystal Palace. Lewis Bate also left the academy to link up with Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United.

And Abraham can soon follow suit. It’s a shame that he is having to undergo such a saga because he has shown his quality whenever on the pitch, but a move away from Stamford Bridge seems like the wisest thing he can do right now for his career.
