Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly has revealed that he will hold talks with Antonio Conte soon. This comes as a major boost for Chelsea who has been looking to sign the Napoli defender.
Speaking to L’Equipe, the player revealed that he is not very happy about how Napoli is handling the situation and is about to reach a point where he and his representatives will start talking to other clubs. His current deal keeps him at Napoli till 2019 but the player is looking to improve the terms of the deal and Napoli has not shown interest in renewing the deal. He has appeared 42 times for the club last season.
He has been linked with a £23 million move to Chelsea and reportedly is in touch with Antonio Conte. However he was asked if he has spoken to Conte regarding a transfer he said that it is about to happen. Speaking to the interviewer he said,
“Big clubs want to sign me and there is no sign of a renewal with Napoli. The negotiations for a contract extension have stalled and they never wanted to discuss with us. No, I have not talked to him, but that may be soon. If nothing happens at Napoli, I will start to have contact with other clubs.”
