Injury update on Tammy Abraham and Thiago Silva ahead of Chelsea vs Everton

Chelsea take on Everton as the Blues aim to extend their prolific start to life under Thomas Tuchel. They have now won 7 of their last 10 games, beating Liverpool 1-0 in the process.

It is their Merseyside neighbours now as Chelsea aim to cement a top-four spot ahead of Everton. Carlo Ancelotti’s side are also in the race for top-four and this is bound to be a huge clash.

Everton are just a point below Chelsea but they do have a game in hand. Chelsea almost have a fully fit squad going into this. However, two players, Thiago Silva and Tammy Abraham, are huge doubts for the game (h/t Football.london).

Thiago Silva

The former PSG man was taken off in the Tottenham game with a thigh issue and has been an absentee since. So far, he has missed seven games for the Blues.

He has returned to training but is unlikely to be risked. Thomas Tuchel confirmed the same ahead of the Liverpool game. The Everton game could come too soon for him but we could get to see him in some capacity against Leeds United.

Tammy Abraham

The lanky striker has been out of the side for two matches now. Tuchel confirmed that he was dealing with an ankle injury and wouldn’t be pushed into the game too soon. He could miss this game as well and return against Leeds.
