Hakim Ziyech could make his Chelsea debut against Southampton
According to Football.London, Chelsea new boy Hakim Ziyech could make his debut for the club against Southampton next weekend.
The Moroccan was the club’s first major capture of what was eventually a busy summer window. An injury sustained in the pre-season friendly against Brighton has seen him on the sidelines so far.
Blues fans could finally get to see him in action when we take on the Saints in the Premier League next weekend.
The 27-year-old is now back in full training. He is a serial assist maker capable of competing at the highest level. Ziyech’s addition to the squad will add ammo to our frontline.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard had revealed last week that the Moroccan is closing in on a return. The boss already has a plan on how to use the attacker in the Chelsea setup.
We will now have to wait and see what Lampard has in store for the Blues number 22.
The last few gamedays have seen a number of our new signings take the field. Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell and Edouard Mendy have all made their Chelsea bows in recent days.
All three of them have impressed so far and hopefully, Ziyech will also join their list soon.
