Declan Rice agrees five-year contract with Chelsea
According to journalist Nicolo Schira, West Ham United star Declan Rice has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea, ahead of a potential summer transfer to Stamford Bridge.
It has been a summer filled with transfer activity for Chelsea. The Blues have spent close to £250m so far during the current transfer window, making as many as seven first-team signings.
However, the business is still not done as manager Frank Lampard wants to add West Ham star Declan Rice before the window slams shut. (h/t Express)
The 21-year-old has emerged as a top transfer target for Blues boss Frank Lampard. However, there have been some concerns over a move from the club hierarchy.
But, it is now being claimed that the West Londoners have already made an offer for Rice. The offer, though, has been turned down by their local rivals. (h/t Nicolo Schira)
As per Schira, Chelsea had put forth an offer of €50m plus add-ons to the Hammers for Rice’s signing, only for them to turn it down. However, the journalist has claimed that the 21-year-old England international has agreed personal terms over a five-year contract with the Blues already.
West Ham are reportedly holding out for a transfer fee of £80m for Rice. And Chelsea are expected to sell some fringe players in order to fund the move for the Englishman. (h/t Express)

A versatile operator, Rice can play at centre-back as well as defensive midfield. His signing should inevitably help the team become a more solid unit at the back.
A former Chelsea academy man, the Englishman seems keen on signing for Chelsea. The transfer fee remains the only bone of contention for the deal to go through seamlessly.
