Chelsea’s promising striker signs two-year contract extension with the club

One of Chelsea’s notable strikers has signed a contract extension with the club, committing to stay at Stamford Bridge until 2033. The Senegalese forward, who originally joined the Blues on an eight-year contract, has now extended his commitment by an additional two years.

Currently, the striker is away from his club duties as he is representing Senegal in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Burkina Faso and Burundi.

The young forward is highly regarded in Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca’s project, with the club showing full confidence in his potential and viewing him as a promising prospect for the future.

Nicolas Jackson extends his contract with Chelsea until 2033

According to Fabrizio Romano, Nicolas Jackson has signed a two-year contract extension until 2033. The 23-year-old joined Chelsea from Spanish club Villarreal in 2023 on a permanent transfer, initially agreeing to an eight-year deal.

Following his stellar performance last season in the Premier League(2023/24), where Jackson scored 14 goals and provided five assists, becoming the second-highest goal scorer for Chelsea after Cole Palmer, the Premier League club has further extended his deal.

So far this season, Jackson has scored two goals and provided one assist for the club, showing promising form.

This contract extension reflects the faith and belief Chelsea have in the 2001-born footballer, and it is considered a positive move by the management, who have already invested heavily in acquiring a significant number of players.

Jackson has made 14 appearances for the senior Senegal national team but is yet to score his first international goal.

Regarding Chelsea’s current performance, the 2020/21 Champions League winners are struggling, currently sitting in 11th place with one win, one draw, and one loss in their first three games of the ongoing English Premier League season.

If the Blues are to have a good season, they will need Jackson who is their natural number nine to keep scoring goals regularly. Let’s see if Enzo Maresca can get the Senegalese striker to be more consistent in his performances going forward.
