The Italian tactician is impressed with the performance of Cristopher Nkunku and Guiu in the pre-season games. Nkunku has scored in both games and Maresca may feature the Frenchman in the striker’s role in the upcoming season. The gaffer could also include the Spanish striker in Chelsea’s main squad and may assign him the false nine position, where the Spaniard can thrive in the club and score goals. He can also be used as a backup option for Nkunku or Nicolas Jackson in the centre-forward position.
