Rio Ferdinand reveals why one Chelsea star is the ‘centre of attention in couple of WhatsApp groups he is involved in”

Rio Ferdinand says Chelsea prodigy Cole Palmer has been involved in many WhatsApp chats

Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand reveals Chelsea sensation Cole Palmer has been the centre of attention, and the forward continues to be in the limelight after he disclosed that Palmer has been involved in plenty of WhatsApp chats.

Palmer will prepare himself for Euro 2024 after receiving a call for the England squad for his excellent performance for the Blues last season. The 22-year-old netted 22 goals in the Premier League and won the Premier League Young Player of the Year Award.

Palmer’s £42.5 million move to Chelsea was nothing but a scattergun approach by the board after his acquisition came in on the deadline day of the last summer window. Many considered that he took the risk of leaving his boyhood club that won a treble.

However, for Palmer, it was one of the best moves, and he finally got the chance to demonstrate his talent, Ferdinand reveals the youngster is currently in the spotlight. Speaking to TNT Sport, he said via BBC:

“He is a wonderful talent. He has been the centre of attention in a couple of WhatsApp groups I’m involved in.’’

Cole Palmer has been in limelight ever since his move to Chelsea.

Palmer’s reputation is already growing, and the fact that former teammates are chatting about him on WhatsApp suggests that his play has elevated him to the status of one of the top young players. With that hype comes great pressure, and if he gets a chance to play matches with plenty of competition to be in the starting lineup, then huge expectations will be placed on him to make a difference in the game.

He has established himself as one of the most gifted young players, and because of this, he will constantly be in the spotlight. Starting next season, a lot will be expected of him. Such pressure at such a young age is also unfavourable, but perhaps Palmer can grow and show why he’s been one of Europe’s best young players once again in the upcoming tournament.
