Perry Groves says Chelsea star’s future could have been ‘stumbling block’ in Mauricio Pochettino’s End of Season review

Mauricio Pochettino leaving Chelsea could have had a direct correlation with the future of Conor Gallagher

Perry Groves believes former Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino was not happy with Chelsea trying to get rid of Conor Gallagher, and that might be one of the reasons Pochettino departed, as reported on talkSPORT.

The former Arsenal player also believes Gallagher is fully capable of declining the transfer himself since the 24-year-old adores the club and wishes to play for Chelsea.

Perry Groves suggests Pochettino’s departure could be linked with Chelsea trying to let go of Gallagher

Conor Gallagher has long been linked with a move this summer, despite having started 50 of 51 games for the now-departed Mauricio Pochettino.

That is despite the 24-year-old having only a year left on his deal at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are not the only Premier League club concerned about the prospect of undertaking transfer transactions that they would not normally consider.

In these instances, everyone’s attention is drawn to the academy because of the pure profit these players may bring to the team.

Villa have identified Gallagher as a serious target as they seek to strengthen their team in readiness for the Champions League next season.

According to reports, Conor Gallagher might decline his transfer himself

The Villans will be playing in their first European season since 2010, and their first in Europe’s top league in 41 years.

The London club is unwilling to offer Gallagher a new contract, and he might be moved this summer.

The former Crystal Palace loanee has developed as one of Mauricio Pochettino’s most essential players.

Fans are showing their outrage by comparing Gallagher’s situation with Juan Mata’s when he was sold in his prime for peanuts but with Conor Gallagher, this is where they expect to draw the line.

Chelsea is about to make one of their biggest mistake like they made some years ago if they part ways with the Three Lions star this summer.
