Nicolas Jackson praises teammate Marc Cucurella for Euro 2024 selection
Marc Cucurella has been named to the final roster for Euro 2024, which begins in precisely a week, and his teammate, Nicolas Jackson, has applauded his selection.
Chelsea has congratulated their Cucurella upon his selection on social media by posting a picture of their left back on Instagram with the caption:
“Cucurella has been selected to represent Spain at #EURO2024! Congratulations, Marc! “
Nicolas Jackson took time to applaud the 25-year-old on his achievement.
The Senegalese forward commented, “Vamos” accompanied by joined hands and a heart emoji.
Cucurella has three senior caps for Spain and was a member of the silver medal-winning under-23 squad at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. He was also a member of the team that reached the semifinals of the 2021 Under-21 European Championships.
Having reached a particular level of game refinement Cucurella is one of the most well-known fullbacks because of his aggressive defence, which also makes him a formidable left-back and an outstanding player due to his ability to make decisive tackles. He is expected to play the same role for the national team after being used as an inverted fullback by Mauricio Pochettino.
The Chelsea left-back has only made two appearances for the national team and will have the opportunity to secure his status in the upcoming tournament.
He has improved a lot since returning from an ankle injury. Cucurella is set to have more chances with the national team to show his credentials and prove that he deserves to remain at Stamford Bridge despite exit links after just a season at the club.
