Chelsea target Victor Osimhen criticizes Nigeria manager over faking injury claims

Chelsea target Victor Osimhen has blasted former Nigeria coach Finidi George after he was accused of pulling out of the games due to minor injuries. Nigeria are facing tough times following the sacking of Finidi.

The national team’s hopes of securing the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification has come under scrutiny due to recent predicaments like their 1-1 draw with South Africa, followed by a 2-1 defeat away to Benin, which has left them fifth in Group C with three points from four games.

Meanwhile, Finidi, who resigned as Nigeria’s coach just two months after his appointment, has questioned Osimhen’s commitment, which has led to a cold war in the team. Now Nigeria will once again have to find a manager ahead of their next World Cup qualification match.

But this time Osimhen didn’t hold back and launched a scathing attack on the Finidi, as he went live on his Instagram account and revealed what actually happened, Metro:

‘’I won’t let anyone believe anything about me; I don’t just address anything; everybody knows when I play for Nigeria, I play my heart out; I just let everything go, but I won’t disrespect anybody. I knew things like these would happen, and that’s why I have the videos and screenshots of when I called Finidi while I was with the doctor in Germany.’’ I’ve lost respect for that man because before I disrespect anybody, I always respect them.’’

Victor Osimhen got into a brawl with Nigeria head coach.

This is a serious problem, and Nigeria is now in an awkward circumstance since they are fighting for World Cup qualification as well, and their star scorer is at odds with their manager, who was hired two months ago and has now quit. When a manager and a player have a falling out, it’s typical in football for one of them to leave, and in this case, it was the manager who quit the national team.

Nigeria’s chances of qualifying for the tournament will vanish if they don’t hire a manager soon and get back to winning. Osimhen’s season with his club team hasn’t gone well, and he’s currently dealing with an issue with his national team. It remains to be seen how the Chelsea target emerges out of this situation.
