Former Chelsea flop Michy Batshuayi is on the verge of completing a controversial move to Galatasaray from Fenerbache. Batshuayi joined the club two years ago and recorded 44 goals in 75 games but failed to win the title.
And now, as per beINSports, (h/t Sun), the forward is close to agreeing to a move to Galatasaray, which could prove to be one of the most controversial moves for the former Chelsea star.
The 30-year-old is set to sign a three-year deal worth £50,000 a week. The 30-year-old has taken a bold decision to play for a different team in the same league, and it is certainly one of the most problematic decisions for Batshuayi.
Galatasaray and Fenerbache are two of the most fierce rivals, and there have been plenty of heated incidents between both sides on the pitch.
The Belgium star, who joined Chelsea in 2016, played for the Blues until 2022 and appeared in 77 matches, scoring 33 goals and making 10 assists. However, the Belgium forward never remained at Chelsea over those years, as he only spent his time on loan, and his permanent move came in 2022 when he joined Feherbache.
Now he is going to sign for Galatasaray, and it will be a very controversial decision as both sides’ rivalry is one of the most intense in the Turkish league, and Batshuayi could come under a lot of scrutiny. The two club fans are one of the violent ones who dare to enter pitches and create chaos.
This will certainly not go down well with their fans. Let’s wait and see how this pans out.
