Chelsea are set to bolster various positions ahead of crucial summer for Enzo Maresca

As per Mirror, Enzo Maresca is set to have a busy summer as Chelsea will make new signings in the upcoming transfer window. The Blues have been hit with a big headache before their summer acquisitions, as they will be under pressure to stay within the Premier League’s strict profit and sustainability rules.

This time if the club overspends they will have repercussions. if the Blues want to avoid any sanctions, Chelsea will have to sell some players, and they have already added a set of homegrown players who could leave the club.

Maresca is set to have his opinion on the club’s transfer window, as there will be many in-and-outgoings. The Blues hope to reinforce their No. 9 and centre half in the summer and will explore their options.

It could be another summer reshuffle in the squad as a few positions could be looked at and reinforced in order for the Blues to start the campaign where they left off last season under Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea needs a clinical striker, defender, goalkeeper, and midfielder. It’s certain they won’t overspend this time and will be wise with their acquisition. Maresca will be hoping that he gets the players who excel in possession-based football.

Instead of the disorganised football they played under the Argentine boss, he wants the team to play fluid football the following season. As a result, every signing will be crucial, but above all, we will first have to stay within PSR and offload some players to generate maximum profit.

Maresca demonstrated his managerial abilities after leading Leicester City to the Premier League. Now that he is at Chelsea, he will have a lot of responsibility and be under continual pressure to produce results.

Being a Chelsea coach is never easy because we saw what happened with Pochettino. Despite leading the club to a decent finish last season, it still didn’t convince the board, and he ultimately parted ways with us on mutual consent.
