“Dream for any coach” – Enzo Maresca’s first words after being appointed Chelsea manager brings a lot of positivity to the club

Enzo Maresca describe his appointment as Chelsea manager dream move

Chelsea finally made official the appointment of Enzo Maresca, who described the move as a dream come true. The Italian head coach has officially completed his switch from Leicester City to Chelsea on a five-year contract with the option to extend.

The Chelsea board has backed the Italian manager as an elite-minded manager who can take the club to new heights and make them one of the dominant forces in Europe once again. Giving him a five-year contract further underlines how much Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali rate the Italian manager.

The Blues made a shortlist of five managers, which included Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna, ex-Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi, and Brentford’s Thomas Frank, but it was Maresca who stood out and impressed the Blues board. He will start his work as the new Chelsea manager.

He will be under massive pressure from day one, as the Blues fans will be hoping that his appointment will change the fortunes of the club. After his appointment, Maresca’s first words were via Evening Standard:

“To join Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world, is a dream for any coach. That is why I am so excited about this opportunity. I look forward to working with a very talented group of players and staff to develop a team that continues the club’s tradition of success and makes our fans proud.”

Chelsea officially make Enzo Maresca as their new head coach.

Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs, and our achievements are a testament to that. We are also a successful team in London. When it comes to trophies, we always give the utmost, regardless of the manager. and now Maresca will have a chance to manage one of the famous English clubs. But due to Chelsea’s past, you are under continual pressure when you join the club. As can be observed, when things go wrong, the supporters criticise the board policy and want immediate results from the manager.

Maresca said he is excited to work with Chelsea and believes he can lead them to greater success. Although he was an assistant at Manchester City and therefore has some knowledge of the league’s operations, others argue that he has never managed a Premier League team. Hopefully, he will be a successful manager here.
