Teddy Sheringham urges Chelsea target Michael Olise to join Manchester United
Teddy Sheringham backs Michael Olise to snub Chelsea and move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window. The Blues have made signing the former academy a priority, with United also keen on acquiring the talented forward.
Chelsea hopes to beat United and sign the forward in the summer window. He has emerged as the hottest prospect in England last season, scoring 10 goals in 19 Premier League matches. Olise’s performance has earned him accolades, making him a standout player.
The Blues don’t want to miss out on such a talented player’s signing and set their sights on his acquisition, but they face competition from United for his signing. However, Sheringham feels a move to United will be more wise than to Chelsea. Speaking to Genting Casino, Teddy Sheringham further said via Football. London:
“I’d like to see Michael Olise as a Manchester United player; he has been at the top of his game for Crystal Palace over the last few months of the season, and he should be at the top of United’s wish list.’’
Given that they are both going through rebuilding, United and Chelsea both are better choices for Olise. However, United may elect to fire their manager Erik ten Hag, while the Blues will be looking to improve on their previous campaign. Considering that United only have Antony, who has experienced difficulty performing Olise’s arrival will further strengthen United’s right side.
Meanwhile, Chelsea already have two players on the right wing and the Blues’ argument seems questionable. However, Chelsea would undoubtedly change their tactics under Enzo Maresca to make room for the Frenchman in the starting lineup if they are keen to sign.

But both teams would hate to lose out on such a gifted player, therefore a competition to sign the forward may break out. However, Olise’s injury history from the previous season might be a concern for Chelsea, given the team already experienced a number of injuries during the previous campaign.
