Chelsea star thanks Miami Heat and Marlins for hospitality after vacationing in the USA

Chelsea star Axel Disasi thanks basketball team Marlins for their hospitality after he attended their games

Axel Disasi shared his ongoing vacation posts after the Chelsea defender was seen attending Miami side Marlins’ game on Instagram. The centre-back seems to be spending his quality time off watching basketball matches in the USA. Many football players tend to witness basketball matches during their day off from football.

The defender was in attendance to witness the Marlins match against the Seattle Mariners, which the Miami side won. The centre-back was not selected for the France squad for Euro 2024, despite being the Blues’ reliable defender throughout the season.

Disasi has been watching basketball matches during the off-season and was offered great hospitality by the team staff and owners. Considering that the club’s owners are very prominent in the USA and also own a basketball franchise, Chelsea must be a well-known team in the USA.

Disasi joined Chelsea last summer and was thrown into the deep end by Mauricio Pochettino. It will be interesting to see how important Disasi will be under Enzo Maresca.

He will have a different role under him, and he is the most experienced centre-back in the team alongside Tosin Adarabioyo and Trevoh Chalobah. The Frenchman’s aggressiveness brings a lot of potency to the heart of the Chelsea defence.

Disasi will be a crucial player in charge of the defence, as he did the previous season. Even if he had a few disappointing games, he proved that he is a dependable defender and will be more prepared for the upcoming campaign. Meanwhile, other defenders, such as Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana, will return from injury and have an important role to play. The Blues have great depth at the back, and it doesn’t make sense to sign more defenders for next season.

All the defenders will be spending their time off and will hope to return with greater intent to elevate the Blues’ defence next season, given we had one of the weakest defences last campaign. Maresca hopes to implement his system, which will change the dynamic of our defence and bring more stability at the back because we have quality centre-backs, who can form a rock-solid defence.
