Chelsea star Mykhaylo Mudryk nostalgic about his days as a mascot makes a throwback to 2011
Chelsea star Mykhaylo Mudryk, who is known for never being serious on social media, recently shared a nostalgic photo of him as a mascot alongside football legend Edison Cavani.
The Chelsea star made a throwback to 2011, where the star can be seen dressed as a mascot in the Ukraine vs Uruguay friendly back in September.
He shared the post of his days as a little mascot when he was just 10 years old on his Instagram story and wrote,
“All starts with a dream” accompanied by a smiling emoji.
This picture was shared by Mudryk after Chelsea barred the 23-year-old left-winger from representing Ukraine at this summer’s Olympic Games in Paris, according to reports from Daily Mail.
This decision by Enzo Maresca caused a lot of backlash for both the team and the players after gaining attention after the development of the Russia-Ukraine angle.
The reason for this obstruction is allegedly to avoid the injury difficulties that plagued Mauricio Pochettino’s side last season, and a tight approach to his players’ summer plans will help Maresca do so.
Mudryk joined Chelsea in January last year, where the winger scored five goals and assisted twice in the Premier League last season.
He is one player that many Chelsea fans have given up on, and his transfer is regarded as a failure.

It is important to acknowledge the difficulties that a young player might have settling into the Premier League and complement that with the mental side of things with the war in Ukraine.
While we have seen glimpses of Mudryk this season, there hasn’t been consistent gameplay, and hopefully, we will see that at Euro 2024 this summer.
