Chelsea keen on signing Stuttgart forward Chris Fuhrich who made seven assists in league last season
According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have expressed interest in Stuttgart winger Chris Fuhrich. The 26-year-old has a €26 million release clause in his contract and finished last season with eight goals and seven assists in 34 Bundesliga games.
Stuttgart enjoyed an excellent last season, finishing second in the Bundesliga and securing a Champions League spot. Fuhrich was instrumental in helping the German club achieve things beyond their objectives.
His performance has also been the talking point, and the forward could be ready for a big move, with the likes of Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, and Borussia Dortmund also monitoring his situation.
Chelsea seems to have been linked with plenty of stars and will be busy in the summer transfer window. However, Fugrich has now emerged as the latest player the club has been linked with a move.
However, if Chelsea should really consider a move, it doesn’t make sense for now, as the club doesn’t really need more wingers. But the performances from Raheem Sterling and Mykhaylo Mudryk haven’t been convincing, while Christoper Nkunku was injured for most of the season.
Thus, the Blues could ponder a move for him to Stamford Bridge, as they need a difference-maker in the squad. The 26-year-old will be a great addition and is made for the highest level; he has enough experience, but coming to the Premier League has its cons, and the German international could take time to become accustomed to the league.
Therefore, this puts into question whether the Blues need him; instead, they can go for a proven Premier League player, as we have been linked with Crysencio Summerville, who will be a better addition and is more impactful from the left wing.
