Chelsea may entertain offers for experienced forward if Michael Olise joins the club
According to Football Insider, if Michael Olise joins Chelsea this summer, the club will explore bids for their experienced winger Raheem Sterling.
In a surprising twist, Sterling may find himself even further down the pecking order if Chelsea ramp up their chase of Crystal Palace striker Olise this week.
If Michael Olise joins Chelsea this summer, the club is expected to explore bids for winger Raheem Sterling,
Football Insider stated in April that Blues officials had been dissatisfied with the England international’s performances since joining the club in 2022.
In a surprising twist, Sterling might fall even farther down the pecking order if Chelsea ramp up their chase of Crystal Palace star Olise this week.
Sterling has received criticism from both fans and commentators for his lack of productivity since transferring from Manchester City to Chelsea two years ago.
The 29-year-old made 43 appearances in all competitions during the 2023–24 season, starting 31 of them.
He had ten goals and eight assists as Chelsea finished sixth in the Premier League.
The four-time English champion has also been axed from the England side in recent months, and he will not be part of Gareth Southgate’s European Championship roster.
Sterling, who played on both the left and right under former manager Mauricio Pochettino, has a deal until June 2027.
The 82-cap England international will now have the opportunity to impress under new boss Enzo Maresca, although his future at Stamford Bridge is considered to be in severe doubt.
