Brighton in talks to sign Leeds £30m star forward amid Chelsea interest

According to the Metro, Brighton are allegedly in discussions to recruit Leeds star Crysencio Summerville, who has previously been linked with Chelsea and Liverpool.

Rumours suggest that the Blues and Reds were among a number of Premier League teams interested in signing Summerville.

Newcastle, Aston Villa, West Ham, Bournemouth, and Fulham are all keeping an eye on the winger’s position.

Summerville’s departure has been predicted for some weeks, and even if Leeds had earned promotion to the Premier League, the winger may have left this summer.

Now that the former Leicester City boss is commanding the Blues, the likelihood of an offer coming within the next few weeks from Chelsea has increased with his arrival

Missing out on promotion and the riches that come with it might have serious financial ramifications for Daniel Farke’s team, which will now have to sell some of its most valuable assets.

And it appears that Summerville may be the first to depart in the fire sale.

The Dutchman joined Elland Road in 2020 and has since evolved into their top player, scoring 21 goals and providing 10 assists in 49 games in all competitions this season.

Summerville was voted Championship Player of the Season for his performances, and his Leeds contract is still valid for another two years.

The Dutchman would fit nicely into Maresca’s preferred 4-3-3 style, and the transaction makes even more sense now that the management appointment has been announced.
