Ben Jacobs: Chelsea ‘seriously in conversation’ for 6’5 striker who could cost £45m

Chelsea are now making serious moves to acquire highly-rated striker Benjamin Sesko, as reported by transfer journalist Ben Jacobs. The 20-year-old has had an impressive season, netting 18 goals across all competitions. His standout quality is his finishing ability from various positions on the pitch.

The Blues are considering a move for Sesko, who could be available for a relatively modest fee of £45 million. This potential signing is particularly intriguing given Sesko’s recognized talent and knack for scoring, a quality Chelsea has lacked in a clinical striker.

“Chelsea, I expect to be seriously involved in the Sesko conversation as well. And then PSG are going to have to decide whether or not they want to try for a Sesko player or a profile of his nature, whether they want to put a lot of their saved Mbappe money towards Victor Osimhen, or whether they want to enter the conversation for Rafael Leao.’’

This move aligns with Chelsea’s broader strategy of investing in promising young players to secure their future attacking options. By targeting Sesko, Chelsea aims to build a sustainable squad with a mix of youth and experience, focusing on long-term success. PSG, meanwhile have a Kylian Mbappe sized holeto fill and could prove to be dogged comeptitors for his signature.
